LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT
We assist trade unions with a wide range of matters including grievance arbitrations, federal and provincial labour relations board matters, and other complex labour relations issues. We also assist employees and employers on matters such as employment contracts, terminations, constructive dismissals, and disciplinary issues.
SOCIETIES & NON-PROFITS
We provide full service to societies and other membership-based organizations and can assist with matters such as governance, bylaw review, elections, internal disputes, labour matters, and other issues faced by non-profit organizations. We can provide the services of an experienced parliamentarian to chair or assist with meetings of any size.
STATUTORY TRIBUNALS
We provide advice and representation in matters before administrative tribunals such as the WorkSafeBC, the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal, BC Human Rights Tribunal, and Hospital Appeal Board. We can assist with appeals and judicial reviews of tribunal decisions under both provincial and federal jurisdiction.
WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS
We conduct harassment and other workplace investigations for unions and employers. We represent employees in workplace investigations.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
We advise and represent our clients before all levels of government on public policy matters including regulatory and statutory amendments.
LITIGATION
We represent our clients before all levels of court on cases requiring a tailored strategy, including labour and employment matters, societies and non-profit matters, judicial reviews, and Charter issues.
PARALEGAL SERVICES
Our firm’s senior paralegal, Titus Gregory, is a Designated Paralegal as well as a participant in the Innovation Sandbox Program of the Law Society of British Columbia. As such, he can independently provide cost-effective legal advice and representation to individuals, non-profits, trade unions, and businesses in the areas of Employment and Labour Law and Societies and Non-Profits Law.
